Our pack camping events are always open to the entire family. At least one parent must stay overnight with the Scouts in our pack. The key to a good camping experience is to BE PREPARED! The Scouts will have fun in almost any conditions as long as they are able to remain dry, warm and fed. Please use this guide as a list of items to bring on the camping trip:
• Tent (double check that you have your POLES, STAKES and a TARP/GROUNDCLOTH for under your tent)
• Hammer (for stakes)
• Sleeping bags
• Folding chair(s) for around campfire
• Clothes plus an extra outfit (+SOCKS) for unforeseen accidents (always bring back up WARM clothes for overnight)
• Toothbrush/toothpaste (There are bathrooms/sinks)
• Poncho / rain gear
• A day/hike pack for each scout with “THE 6 ESSENTIALS”

◦ First aid kit
◦ Hat/sun protection/sunscreen
◦ Flashlight (Check Batteries)
◦ Signal whistle
• Sleeping pad or mat for under your sleeping bag
• Pillows/extra blankets if needed
• Bug Spray
• Extra flashlights or lantern
• Compass
• Extra snack/Extra water
• Towel/Paper towels for unforeseen messes
• Wet wipes for sticky fingers
• Duct Tape (considered by many to be a camping essential 😊)
