Positions in the Pack
As current leaders move up and on to Scouts, new positions in the pack and committee are available. Please check with the Committee Chair to see what is open. There may just be a position that suits you!
CUBMASTER & ASSISTANT CUBMASTER

They ensure the Pack is fulfilling its duty to the scouts and their families.
PACK COMMITTEE
Every pack has a pack committee, which consists of the chair, secretary, treasurer, and parents. By handling administrative and support tasks, the pack committee allows the Cubmaster, den leaders, and their assistants to focus on working directly with the Cub Scouts.
TREASURER
The Pack Treasurer manages the funds and bank account, accepts and tracks dues and payments, and produces financial reports for the Pack and Pack Committee
SECRETARY (position open)
The Pack Secretary keeps minutes for Pack Committee meetings and distributes them to the Pack Committee, sends out notices to the Pack for upcoming Pack events and Committee meetings, keeps Pack Roster up to date and takes attendance for meetings, provides required BSA forms as needed, maintains an inventory of Pack-owned equipment and takes care of other correspondence. This may include writing letters of appreciation and requests for reservations, or ordering supplies through the local council service center.
ADVANCEMENT CHAIR

POPCORN KERNEL
The Popcorn Kernel organizes and oversees the Pack's annual popcorn fundraising campaign, typically from August through November. This role involves planning and promoting sales, coordinating product distribution, and ensuring scouts have the necessary materials for success. Key responsibilities include tracking sales, providing sales training, managing inventory, counting and depositing funds, and organizing storefront sales events. The Popcorn Kernel maintains accurate records of sales and funds, works with the Treasurer on fund reconciliation, and manages orders with vendors. While no uniform is required, attending Pack Leaders meetings may be necessary, and the position does not require council registration.
OTHER COMMITTEE POSITIONS

DEN LEADERS
Leads the den at den meetings and monthly pack meeting. They are encouraged to attend the monthly pack leaders’ meeting and roundtable meeting.
DEN LEADER ASSISTANT

PARENT HELPERS
Each year the pack will undertake several short-term projects. Parents and other volunteers are needed for activities such as pack fundraisers, Scouting for Food, Service Projects, Pinewood Derby, Blue and Gold Banquet, Summer Camp help and Camping programs. These jobs are of short duration, and still enable all families to assist with pack responsibilities.
