Hiking Scouts love to be outdoors! In addition to Den hikes, we try to take hikes together as a Pack in the fall and spring where our scouts learn how to be safe and clean while out in nature.
Family Camping Here is an opportunity for the whole Cub Scout Family to camp together. We typically hold a camping trip in the fall and spring. Activities may include outdoor skills, fishing, fire building, astronomy, using a pocketknife and just plain relaxing.
Cub Scout Day Camp Day camp is a local and exciting summertime activity that includes archery, swimming, crafts, games, skits, songs, and sports. Cub Scout Day camp is an excellent way to introduce youth to the outdoors and teach them new skills. It also helps strengthen the pack’s summer program. Day Camp or Resident Camp is required for the Outdoor Activity Award.
Cub Scout Summer / Resident Camp Four days and three nights of pure Scouting fun. Food and tents are included!
One of our most popular and fun events is our annual Pinewood Derby race! Parent and Cub Scout work together to build a gravity-powered miniature race car from a Pack supplied kit. Good design and speed are the key to a fast racer, but we also have a special category for the best car design! Our annual event is in early February.
An annual celebration of the birthday of scouting, we enjoy a potluck dinner and fun games with the scouts every February. Each year's dinner has a different theme and we encourage costumes!
Pack 1343 participates every year in the Scouting for Food program by collecting donations to support local food banks.
Periodically the dens or the Pack will also organize a project to benefit the community, such as a park clean up, or collecting donations for local charities, etc.
